While the HR does not completely plateau, the rate of increase in endurance workouts slows significantly. Mathematically, it looks like y = 1 - (e^-x).Markhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01487959822600964399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7808966795450830803.post-11564086025849145062014-09-25T08:17:25.808-05:002014-09-25T08:17:25.808-05:00In working out lately I've noticed that it'...In working out lately I've noticed that it's in that 15-20 minutes after beginning a cardio(elliptical, vigourous walk, reclined stationary bike) that the endorphins kick in, the heart rate settles into a nice steady range, and that the time from 20-40 or 60 minutes is a much more enjoyable experience than the first section.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11479563163327030107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7808966795450830803.post-42483646316209678682014-09-23T07:56:46.173-05:002014-09-23T07:56:46.173-05:00Oops! Mixing in some weight training for both general tone, core strengthening, and upper body strength is a good compliment to the running, biking, etc. Plus, if you find a workout buddy, like I've been blessed to have for the last 6 plus years, you can finish up with a re-hydration therapy, cool down, bull session at a local pub after the workout. It's been a good thang.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11479563163327030107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7808966795450830803.post-34968301400433239632014-09-19T05:50:14.223-05:002014-09-19T05:50:14.223-05:00Thanks, Unknown! :-)Thanks, Unknown! :-)Markhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01487959822600964399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7808966795450830803.post-20964721443050300562014-09-18T07:31:15.827-05:002014-09-18T07:31:15.827-05:00LOL, Jack! Best done with a fellow runner sitting in the shade or at a tavern and consumed slowly while discussing the finer things of life. Wine may be substituted but it should be accompanied by several cheeses as well as fresh bread or good crackers.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11479563163327030107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7808966795450830803.post-13347087503900567182014-09-17T07:44:25.096-05:002014-09-17T07:44:25.096-05:00I like your personal adages about running!
